SUMMARY:Thematic Event: Climate Reporting in Switzerland - Ready for 2025?
DESCRIPTION:EVENT SOLD OUT – Join the waiting list here  \nYou might also be interested in the Swiss climate reporting forum 2024 where we cover climate reporting in more detail at a whole day event. \nSwiss companies are required to disclose climate-related information in their annual reports starting in 2025. This new requirement is based on the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). \nA recent study by Enfinit found that many Swiss companies are not yet aligned with the TCFD recommendations. The study assessed the climate reporting of 40 non-financial publicly listed companies on the Swiss SIX stock exchange for the fiscal year 2022. \nThe study found that the following areas of climate reporting need the most improvement: \n\nStrategy: Companies need to better disclose how climate-related risks and opportunities impact their strategy.\nMetrics and targets: Companies need to disclose more metrics and targets related to climate-related risks and opportunities\, especially those that are financially material.\nPhysical and transition risks: Companies need to pay more attention to physical and transition risks\, and disclose how they are managing these.\nAs expected\, companies with higher revenues are generally better aligned with the TCFD recommendations. However\, even the largest companies do not fully comply with the TCFD recommendations.\n\nWe will feature a panel of experts who will discuss the following topics: \n\nThe new climate reporting requirement in Switzerland\nHow to align your company’s climate reporting with the TCFD recommendations\nCase studies and best practices for climate reporting\n\nWho should attend? \nThis event is for anyone involved in climate reporting\, including: \n\nSustainability managers\nCFOs\nBoard members\nConsultants\nInvestors\n\nRegister today to learn how to prepare your company for the new climate reporting requirement. This event is in partnership with Pelt8\, Enfinit and SIX. \n\nProgramme: \n\n\n\n\n18:00 – 18:30 \n\n\nRegistration \n\n\n\n\n18:30 – 18:45 \n\n\nWelcome by GreenBuzz\, Pelt8 and Christian Reuss (SIX) \n\n\n\n\n18:45 – 19:00 \n\n\nPresentation of state of readiness of Swiss companies by Qendresa Rugova (Enfinit) \n\n\n\n\n19:00 – 19:20 \n\n\nDiscussion with Christoph Baumann (SIF) and Vera Sokulskyj (SIX) \n\n\n\n\n19:20 – 19:50 \n\n\nSpeaker inputs* \n\n\n\n\n19:50 – 20:15 \n\n\nPanel discussion with speakers and wrap up \n\n\n\n\n20:15 – 21:30 \n\n\nApéro and buzzing in small discussion groups \n\n\n\n\n*Speakers \nAntonio Carrillo Doblado\, VP Sustainability at Holcim \nAdrian Kyburz\, Director PMO & Engagement\, Sustainability and ESG Office at Novartis \nRob Wyse\, Climate & Nature Manager at Zurich Insurance
